God loves us, and He is in control.  I need to remind myself of that a lot this week.
Several weeks ago my cousin's husband was in a terrible semi crash and he's all broken up.  His wife and family need him, and he can't be there for them.
My niece is sitting beside the bed of her husband of 6 months while he dies of a brain tumor.
A friend apparently falls asleep while driving home from work and crosses the center line and is killed.
John's nephew's wife gives premature birth to triplet boys.  One dies and the other two are not doing well.
God loves us, and He is in control of even these hard facts of life.  Blessed be His name.  But oh, it hurts!

Hi,
Thanks to Nevin & Elizabeth giving us free air miles, we are off to SC tomorrow to see our new granddaughter, Serena Brooke, who isn't so new anymore.  She was born Oct. 28 and this grandma can't wait to get her in her arms.  The other two girls down there are calling too.  We are excited about the trip!  Hope you all are having a great life!

Please help me!!  I need help solving the mystery of who broke into my Xanga yesterday and told the world of my arrival 40+ years ago.  If you have any clues, please clue me in.  I'm in the dark, but with the sons that I have and the daughters they brought into this family, any of them could be prime suspects.  That isn't mentioning all the friends that I have that would gleefully do this. Have a great day, and know that growing old is not all bad!!  Marilyn

PS  I'd better be at least 40 since my oldest son just turned 31 and my birthday mate son turned 27.

Hello to all of you again.  So much has happened in our family this past month, that I actually decided to share some of it with you.  Davie and Julie got married Sept 1 and I was waiting to put a picture of them on here, but with my great expertize, I'm not sure it will happen.

Then October 2 Nick and Naomi blessed us with a beautiful grandson.  His name is Tyrell Hunter, and he is so beautiful, if little boys can be beautiful.  (I think they can be to Grandmas.)  Again, if I can, I will send a pic.

Sorry that pic won't come, but just imagine this adorable little guy with lots of dark hair, a blanket wrapped up around his face, sleeping so peacefully.  Do you see the picture?

Nate is home right now and it sure is good to have him around, only he's not home right now.  He is in SC with Nevin's.  Katelyn thinks there is no one like uncle Nate and even wanted him to comb her hair for church the other day.    He is heading back to Asia the end of this month, then John & I will really have an empty nest, except for the bachelor's who live next door.   And except that Davie & Julie live two miles down the road, and except that AJ likes to come a play here.

I must go.  My husband is taking me to hear Fernando Ortego tonight, and like usual, we will barely get there in time, but hey, it's the guy, not the leisure that counts.  Love you all, Marilyn
